DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA

SAVANNAH, GA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Savannah is one of those places where no two wedding days look quite the same. You can get ready downtown, walk through the squares for portraits, get married in a historic church, and end the night celebrating somewhere completely different.

I photograph weddings throughout Savannah with a candid, documentary approach, giving you direction when you need it while leaving plenty of room for the day to actually happen.

My focus is on the people, moments, and little things happening around you so your photos feel like your wedding, not a day spent posing for the camera.

GETTING MARRIED IN savannah?

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN, THE COAST +

EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN

Savannah gives you so many completely different ways to plan a wedding. There are historic churches and hotels downtown, ceremonies beneath the oak trees, celebrations along the river, intimate weddings in the squares, and venues outside the Historic District with room to have everything in one place.

That variety is part of what makes photographing weddings here so much fun. Your wedding doesn't have to look like anyone else's just because you're getting married in Savannah.

YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEND YOUR WEDDING DAY TAKING PHOTOS

Your wedding photos matter, but so does actually experiencing your wedding.

I'll give you direction when you need it, help keep portraits moving, and make sure we get the photographs that matter to you. But I'm also paying attention to everything happening when you're not looking at the camera.

Your parents seeing you for the first time. Your friends losing it on the dance floor. Someone fixing your veil. The reactions during speeches. The people you love all being in the same place.

Those are the photographs that help you remember what the day actually felt like.

PLANNING A WEDDING ACROSS SAVANNAH

One thing to keep in mind when planning a Savannah wedding is that your day may happen across several locations.

You might get ready at a hotel downtown, have your ceremony at a church or in one of Savannah's squares, stop somewhere for portraits, and celebrate your reception at another venue.

There's nothing wrong with that, but travel time needs to be part of your wedding timeline. I always build in more time than the drive itself, so we're not rushing from one part of the day to the next.

If you're planning several locations, we'll work through the timeline together and make sure your photography coverage actually fits the day you're planning.

Not sure how much photography coverage you need?

THINKING ABOUT GETTING MARRIED IN A SAVANNAH SQUARE?

Savannah's squares can be an incredible setting for a ceremony, especially if you're planning something smaller or want to be right in the middle of the Historic District.

Just remember that the squares are public spaces, and depending on the size and setup of your wedding, you may need a permit from the City of Savannah.

If a Savannah square is part of your plans, check the City's current requirements before finalizing the details of your ceremony.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA

SAVANNAH + THE SURROUNDING LOWCOUNTRY

From weddings in the Historic District to celebrations outside the city, I photograph wedding days throughout Savannah and the surrounding Lowcountry.

My approach is documentary and candid, with direction when you need it. We'll make time for the portraits and people that matter to you without turning your wedding into an all-day photoshoot.

Whether everything is happening at one venue or your day takes us across Savannah, we'll build your photography timeline around what you actually want documented.

YOUR LOCATIONS

If you're getting ready, having your ceremony, and celebrating your reception in different places, make sure travel time is built into your timeline.

YOUR PORTRAIT LOCATIONS

Savannah gives us plenty of options for portraits, but we don't need to spend your entire cocktail hour driving around the city. We'll choose locations that make sense with the flow of your day.

YOUR CEREMONY

If you're planning a ceremony in one of Savannah's public squares or parks, look into permits and setup requirements early in the planning process.
